At Skare Spine and Performance, we take a unique and integrative approach to care, personalized to meet your individual needs and goals. We believe that optimal health and function come from a comprehensive treatment plan, beyond just treating the site of pain.
Here's how we stand out:
Integration Means Personalization
We utilize multiple systems to personalize treatment plans to your condition and unique goals. Our detailed assessment and a combination of various techniques and methods allow us to tailor treatment plans that meet your individual needs. From youth athletes to weekend warriors, pregnancy to postpartum, and desk jockeys to manual laborers, we offer customized treatment plans catering to individuals of all ages, health conditions, and occupations.
Our Treatment Approach
We have multiple tools in our toolbox. Each person in our office will get a combination of chiropractic adjustments, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), soft-tissue care, and Dry Needling.
Chiropractic care is the foundation of our treatment, which works to restore movement to restricted and sticky joints. We utilize Motion Palpation to identify the areas of the spine or extremity joints that aren't moving well and get them to move well.
We also utilize DNS, a therapeutic approach focused on restoring the functional movement patterns we develop in the first year of life. It helps improve posture, stability, and strength by addressing these patterns.
McKenzie is another foundation of our approach and involves a systematic assessment focused on self-treatment. It allows patients to control their health and function and speeds up care.
Dry needling involves inserting thin needles in specific points to stimulate the body's natural healing process and release trigger points. It can help relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and promote tissue repair.
We also utilize a Flexion Distraction table for suitable patients, a gentle and noninvasive way to treat Spinal Stenosis and sciatica in appropriate cases.
Longer Treatment Times
We take the time to understand your needs and concerns, allowing us to address the root causes of dysfunction. Our initial assessment is comprehensive, and our routine appointments are 15-20 minutes, giving us enough time to utilize different treatment methods to help achieve our desired goals.
Take Control of Your Recovery
We aim to empower our patients to control their health and function and help them achieve optimal outcomes. Most patients in our office will receive at least one easy at-home exercise, such as a McKenzie movement or DNS exercise, which allows us to speed up care and start letting patients take control of their health.
Improving Function
We believe that looking beyond pain is crucial at Skare Spine and Performance. We're not just focused on treating the site of pain but also improving how joints and muscles move, how the body stabilizes itself, how you move, and improving the strength and biomechanics of the area involved. If we don't address the function, we will keep having a cycle of in and out of pain and not addressing why this injury is occurring.
A Higher Standard of Care.
If you're struggling with musculoskeletal pain or dysfunction, we invite you to reach out with any questions and learn more about how we can help you achieve optimal health and function. At Skare Spine and Performance, we take pride in our integrative and personalized approach to care, and we're confident that we can help you too.
